Politics Editor Michael Oleaga Michael Oleaga is an award-winning journalist from New York City. He is the politics editor for Latin Post and reports on U.S. and international news with a focus on Latinos and millennials. Michael’s also the primary reporter for Latin Post’s “Turnout” politics series, interviewing politicians, government leaders and advocacy groups about issues affecting the Latino electorate. He received his Bachelor’s Degree at Pace University, where he studied communication arts and journalism and political science.
Tech Editor Robert Schoon
Robert Schoon is fascinated by technology and media, and how changes in those worlds, both big and small, affect modern culture and daily life. He’s previously written for NPR’s On The Media, Gizmodo, and is a contributor to the (tech-unrelated) comedy site Splitsider.
He also likes pinball, bowling, and watching live comedy.
Reporter David Salazar
David Salazar has been a professional journalist for two years, working for Latin Post as a sports and entertainment writer focusing on soccer, film and opera.
He has interviewed major film directors and actors, such as Guillermo del Toro, Jonas Cuaron, Ben Cura, John Leguizamo, Will Poulter and Melonie Diaz.
David speaks fluent Spanish and French. He is a native of East Meadow, New York and earned his bachelor’s in print journalism from Hofstra University.

Milly Contreras is a Honduran-born New York City entertainment writer. Her past experience includes interning and working at several urban news and pop culture websites, including City Limits, Hollywood Life and The Dishh. She is interested in fashion, beauty, photography, women's issues and lifestyle topics. Her career highlights include interviewing model Molly Sims, designer's like Stella Nolasco and Steve Madden and reporting on New York Fashion Week.
Milly is a first generation college graduate and attended Hunter College. While there she studied media, creative writing and women and gender studies. After college, Milly went on receive her Masters in Liberal Studies from the The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her concentration was on the culture and business of fashion and eventually wrote her thesis on the effects that race, class and location have on fashion in The Bronx.
Reporter Francisco Salazar
Francisco Salazar has been a professional journalist for almost two years. He is a native of East Meadow, NY and earned his bachelor’s in film studies and production from Hofstra University.
Francisco speaks fluent Spanish and Italian. His main focus is on the trending films, the Oscars, Indie films and on Opera. He has been able to interview Benedict Cumberbatch, Rodrigo Santoro, Ana Maria Canseco, Ana Layevska, Jessica Findlay Brown, Luke Evans, and Richard Armitage.
